An Icy Touch by 77Flower77 An Icy Touch by 77Flower77
My Jack Frost cosplay ^^ Finally got it finished after quite a while of lazyness :XD: I quite the amount of questions about my skin color on other photos like this, and just to be clear; yes that IS my acual skintone. Im From Denmark (Scandanavia, Nordic countries) and very light skintones are fairly common. Therefore I cannot help you with finding a way to lighten your skintone that isnt make up. Sorry about that ^^'

This is great and cute, I see you're making the best of the snow! How long did you hold up? *rubs toes warm, gently*

hehe, a little under half an hour I think. We didn't really notice the time as the camera was running low on battery and we wanted to get as many pictures as possible with the evening light as it was fading fast but looked so good for photoshoots xD

Also, I realized that I came straight here from reddit, so my comment context was based on your photo comment, and people on DA don't really read it that way.

Your costume also looks absolutely fabulous. :)

That's a good job on the cosplay! This is one of the best Jack cosplays I've seen. I like the way you depicted the frost ferns on the hooded sweatshirt. And your ability to deal with being barefoot in the cold paid off here.

Plus it's nice to see some of the landscape around where you live. One of the (thousands of)reasons I love the Nordic countries is how the architecture and landscaping is so beautiful. People really love nature, and even in larger cities, there are still lots of parks and gardens and mini forests. This seems like one such area. Is this in the neighborhood where you live? It's very pretty, and the snow makes it even more charming.

Good point on the skin coloring. It's funny people ask about that, but I forget sometimes Scandinavia is a region that is still not well known in many parts of the world, so it's fun to educate people on what the people there are like. I know at work one of my new coworkers from Spain was surprised to find that so many Scandinavians are dark haired and dark eyed with very light skin. She's always thought everyone was blond haired and blue eyed. Iceland, for example, has the darkest complected people of the NOrdic countries where hair color is concerned. And I've met a lot of Danes who have your complexion among my coworkers in Denmark.

There really wouldn't be a way for people to make their skin lighter other than makeup. However, it would be interesting to see if someone could catch the bluish white skin tones that Jack has in the film with make up.

Anyway, nice job! Hope we see more photos like this!

Thanks, and yeah it did pay off pretty good, we got 29 more pictures to look though and figure out which ones we'll upload, Elise was shaking due to the cold weather and she was wearing warm clothes! Made me laugh quite a few times because of the irony of it being me who wore less clothes :XD:

We're acually out in my front garden, my house (that my mother got painted orange and therefore didnt fit in the picture) is just out of sight on this photo. This part of my garden is my fathers pride, as he have build everything there himself with help from me and my brother. We acually do have three parks around us, one being "Rågegården" and the two others being spots of land where the government decided should be reverted back to being forrests, they're all very nice places!

Yeah I just got so many questions about it so I figured I'd write it so everyone can see it's not make up but my genes that makes my skintone so light... It is always fun to talk to people who almost dont believe me when I mention im danish due to that general view that danes are blonde and so on, so I'd imagine it'll be just as fun for dark haired persons from Iceland ;)
